Rhythms inside

Sheep under a tree near Dorset, England.

so i often wonder if your story shares the same rhythms as mine

do you feel the ebb and flow of grace and love rippling between our lives?

will there always be a kindred hope that keeps our journey’s tied?

and even though it’s been so long and we are so far away, does a joy remain inside?

Minutes and Hours

Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
      Remind me that my days are numbered—
      and that my life is fleeting away.
My life no longer than the width of my hand.
      An entire lifetime is just a moment to you;
      human existence is but a breath.
Psalm 39:4-5

It’s hard for me to just be in the moment.  It seems that I can’t help but look around me and see all the other possible moments I could have experienced or scout out the next great moment to come.  Being fully present today might just be the toughest part of intentionally living for this soul that is slightly ADD.

But, it is my heart’s desire to not spend my time clinging to what was, nor leaning too far into what’s to come.  I want to make the most of today and now.
